Q: What is Camp Freedom?
A: We are a Christian-based summer camp for pre-teens and teens ages 10-15. |
Q: Where are you going to be located?
A: In the past we have been located at a church, but we have decided that it is going to be best for our camp if we have our own location. God has provided a great location this year for us in Central/West Plano. Please contact the Jennifer Cheever at 972-904-8008 or email by clicking below for more information. |

Q: When does my child have to be 10 to be elligible to attend the camp?
A: A camper should be 10 years of age by August 1st following the summer that they are enrolling for. On occasion, we do accept mature 9 year olds to attend camp, but it depends on the camper. The activities that have been planned for the summer are specifically geared toward the older targeted age group. We greatly factor in the safety and maturity of our campers when we are planning each week's schedules. |
Q: What denomination is your camp?
A: We are non-denominational. We teach from the Bible. Our leadership is plugged into F Fellowship Church Plano. This church and it's teachings parallel with the things we teach at camp. |
Q: Do I have to sign up for all of the weeks during the summer?
A: No, you are able to pick and choose the weeks that fit best with your schedule and your camper's interests. You can sign up for 1 week or all 11, its up to you! |
Q: What are the prices for each week?
A: Prices are going to vary from week to week depending on whether or not it is an away week. Away weeks are generally going to be more expensive because of increased care, travel, food, and other expenses. To see our payment schedule, which outlines the cost of each week and is part of our application, please click hhere. |
Q: I know that the schedules aren't out yet, but what can I expect a typical week to look like?
A: Generally we designate Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to be our field trip days. We leave in the morning and don't come back until a specified time on the schedule. The field trips are centered around the ttheme for the week. Friday is our "big" field trip. Many times that is the day that we will go to places like Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, Sneaky Pete's, Burger's Lake, etc. Sometimes we will plan to get back past 6:30 on Fridays. It is important to read the schedule to know what time to expect us back each day.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are our "Fun at the Club" days. Each moment is jam-packed with guest speakers, crazy games, challenging contests, etc. The schedules detail what we are going to be doing moment-by-moment (as much as we can anticipate) each day. |
Q: What are your hours of operation each day?
A: We will be open each day from 7:00am-6:30pm unless a late arrival is designated on the schedule. |
Q: What is the child/staff ratio at Camp Freedom?
A: Our ratio is 1:10 on field trips and 1:14 at the club. We will also have volunteers helping us throughout the summer making our ratio even lower. |
Q: Do I have to attend any certain church for my child to go to Camp Freedom?
A: You do not have to attend a certain church to come to Camp Freedom. We highly encourage our campers and their families to get involved in a local church if they are not already. Our leadership is a testimony to the life-changing affects that churches like FFellowship Church can bring! |
Q: Are 15 year olds able to attend camp?
A: Yes! Our 15 year olds take on a big leadership role at the camp. |
