*Camp Freedom is a newly founded camp in Plano, Texas for pre-teens and teens ages 10-15.
*We are not only a summer camp, but a ministry as well. Freedom provides an opportunity for teens to be active during the summer, to make new friends, to hang with cool counselors, and to try new things that they have never tried before! More than that though, God uses our camp to allow teens to build meaningful relationships with people that really love Jesus, and through that, to build a life-changing relationship with the Savior, Jesus Christ, Himself.
*Camp Freedom believes that the Bible is all about God's love. When we see God's amazing love for us, we are changed and want to love Him and those that He loves.
| *Why the name Camp Freedom? 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" The Bible talks about us being "slaves to our sin" before we see God's love and choose to follow Him. The good news is that, because of God sending His Son to pay the punishment we deserve, we can have a life of freedom and joy we never imagined! All this is possible just by placing our faith in what God has done on the cross and choosing to follow Him. | *A Christ-follower has an inward ability and longing toward loving God and others. The Bible literally calls this "slavery to righteousness". Believe it or not, this is incredibly good news! While before we were slaves to the opposite of what we were created for (loving and worshipping God, serving others), a Christian desires and is pulled toward their intended purpose which brings life, joy, and peace!! What good news Christ has bought for us! | *Camp Freedom is dedicated to the passage below, Romans 6:17-19, which expresses this good news. Through awesome activities, friends, and memories being made, Camp Freedom is all about helping each Camper to see God's love in calling us to live in Freedom. |

"But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness." Romans 6:17-19.
